I lead my team to engineer an attachable bicycle headlight system from scratch.

• Our primary objectives in designing this device were to prioritize functionality, lightweight construction, and portability.

• The device emits a luminous beam that dynamically adjusts its intensity based on ambient light conditions, enhancing visibility in darker environments while conserving energy in well-lit surroundings.

• The device used an Arduino as a microcontroller, with MOSFET for voltage control over the LED. We also had a power source (9V battery) and power switch integrated in the circuit.

• The housing was custom cut acrylic pieces secured to each other via screws, with hooks at the bottom that could attach to a bicycle bar.
